The Financial Consultant serves as the primary Finance business partner to the Vice President of Research & Development and the Vice President of Global Marketing, as well as their respective leadership teams, within the Pelvic Health Operating Unit. The role provides strategic financial leadership across innovation, portfolio investment, and commercialization activities, ensuring financial rigor, transparency, and accountability from early‑stage development through product launch and ongoing lifecycle management.

As a core member of the Pelvic Health R&D Core Team, this role plays a critical part in shaping portfolio decisions and investment priorities. The position also owns financial support for new product introductions (NPIs), driving accountability for revenue, margin, and investment targets and translating complex financial data into actionable insights for senior leadership.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Act as the primary Finance partner to the VP of R&D and VP of Global Marketing, supporting both the executives and their respective leadership teams.

  • Provide financial leadership for innovation strategy, portfolio prioritization, and commercialization planning.

  • Serve as a core member of the Pelvic Health R&D Core Team, representing Finance in portfolio, pipeline, and investment discussions, supporting new product launches, establishing clear revenue, margin, cost and investment targets

  • Lead AOP, Strategic Plan, and Long‑Range Plan (LRP) activities related to R&D programs and global marketing initiatives; track monthly and quarterly performance versus plan, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities to leadership.

  • Develop business cases and financial models to support R&D investments, portfolio decisions, and commercialization strategies.

  • Support ad hoc analyses and preparation of executive‑ready materials as required.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders and leadership teams.

  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA.

  • Experience supporting R&D, product development, or global marketing organizations.

  • Experience with new product launches and lifecycle financial management.

  • Medical device, healthcare, or other regulated industry experience.

  • Familiarity with Medtronic financial systems and planning processes including OneStream

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
