Health Safety and Environmental Intern 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Conduct air sampling for employee exposure assessments;
• Assist with Noise Mapping utilizing Sound Level Meters and Noise Mapping software; 
• Conduct Noise exposure monitoring with dosimeters;
• Support Ergonomics program with preventative ergonomic assessments;
• Assist with the Chemical Inventory Team with inspections;
• Assist with equipment inspections to confirm locations and calibration certifications;

 

Required Qualifications

 

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Industrial Hygiene and/or Occupational Safety. Experience
• Completion of college Sophomore or Junior year

 

​​​​​​​Preferred Qualifications 

 

• Classes completed in chemistry or biology is preferred;
• Classes completed in Occupational Safety or Industrial Hygiene will be beneficial;
• Ability to work within a team environment and semi independently after receiving direction on work projects;
•  Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to learn new software programs;
• Organization, time management, and attention to detail;
• Willingness to learn
