Are you motivated by the opportunity to influence a dynamic global organization and drive strategic impact?</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>If yes, then we are offering great opportunity to join Ambu’s Global Procurement organization at our headquarter in Ballerup, Denmark - and become a key part of our procurement transformation journey.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>As a Global Category Manager within Indirect Procurement &amp; Capex team, you will lead and develop Procurement category strategies for logistics and transport services, including ocean, road, parcel, airfreight, and 3PL warehousing. Working closely with global and local Supply Chain teams, you will support ensure RFP, cost savings initiatives, service excellence, and sustainability across our supply chain. Collaboration is key - you will partner with stakeholders in Global and local Supply Chain, Finance, and procurement colleagues worldwide (Germany, US, Mexico, China, Malaysia) to align supplier strategies and implement best practices.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>This position reports directly to the Head of Global Indirect Procurement &amp; Capex.</span></p> <p><strong><span> </span></strong></p> <p><strong><span> </span></strong></p> <p><strong><span>Key Responsibilities</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><strong><span>Category Strategy Development: </span></strong><span>In close cooperation with the Key stakeholders within Global and local Supply chain teams to define and implement category strategies for logistics, transport, and 3PL warehousing aligned with business objectives. Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovation.</span></li> <li><strong><span>Supplier Management:</span></strong><span> Lead sourcing activities, including RFPs, negotiations, and contract management. Develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure service quality and compliance.</span></li> <li><strong><span>Cost Optimization &amp; Risk Management:</span></strong><span> Drive procurement cost reduction initiatives without compromising service levels. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure business continuity.</span></li> <li><strong><span>Strategic Partnering &amp; Stakeholder Collaboration:</span></strong><span> Work closely with Supply Chain, and Finance teams to align procurement strategies with operational needs. Act as a trusted advisor for logistics and warehousing procurement decisions.</span></li> <li><strong><span>Supplier Performance:</span></strong><span> Lead quarterly business reviews (QBR) with strategic suppliers, monitor KPIs for performance, cost savings, and sustainability goals, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.</span></li> <li><strong><span>Data-Driven Procurement:</span></strong><span> Analyze category spend, supply markets, and cost drivers in collaboration with our new Procurement Insights team to uncover efficiencies and opportunities.</span></li> <li><strong><span>Sustainability: </span></strong><span>Integrate responsible sourcing practices into category plans. Ensuring alignment with sustainability goals and driving environmental and social impact across the supply base</span></li> <li><strong><span>Innovation &amp; Continuous Improvement:</span></strong><span> Challenge the status quo and actively seek out opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.</span></li> <li><strong><span>Support procurement activities within other procurement categories</span></strong></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>What You Bring</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p><span>While great skills and experience can come from many paths, we believe you’re likely to thrive in this role if you have:</span></p> <ul> <li><span>A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Finance or similar field.</span></li> <li><strong><span>3–5 years of procurement and category management experience</span></strong><span> <span>and/or</span> <strong>5–8 years of industry experience in logistics/transport/3PL with a procurement focus</strong>.</span></li> <li><span>Strong stakeholder management experience and ability to collaborate across functions and regions in a matrix environment while building strong internal and external partnerships.</span></li> <li><span>Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.</span></li> <li><span>Proven and s
