This is a grant funded position with an end date of 8/31/2025, renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward research goals.
Purpose
The senior research program coordinator will assist in coordinating an NIH funded program of research to address resilience and well-being among front line workers in substance misuse, overdose and addictions. A primary area of focus of this position will be stakeholder engagement, outreach and recruitment for a large clinical trial. Experience with project coordination, behavioral clinical trials, populations exposed to stress and trauma, and/or addictions, harm reduction work or community health work will be required.
Responsibilities
Engagement with stakeholders, oversight and execution of outreach plans to build a network of workers to participate in research.
Preparing to transition from early stage pilot research to a large clinical trial to include edits to the trial protocol, preparing a protocol paper for publication, completing a technical transfer package to the NIH, regulatory document preparation.
Assisting with manuscript writing, protocol and grant writing.
Other administrative and coordinating tasks to assist with organization, productivity and management.
Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the work to be performed and five years of experience coordinating or administering a program OR Master’s degree with three years of experience. Field related to the work to be performed defined as: psychology, social work, other social sciences. Human subjects research experience will be required. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with project coordination, behavioral clinical trials, populations exposed to stress and trauma, and/or addictions, harm reduction work or community health work.
Salary Range
$55,000 + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions
May work around standard office conditions.
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
Occasional weekend, overtime and evening work to meet deadlines.
Field work as necessary.
