What you will do:
Provide broad and deep technical expertise to resolve complex electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues across the Region.
Deliver training and technical guidance (written and verbal) to Area employees to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation, installation, testing, and assessment of company facilities.
Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical problems across multiple platforms and product lines.
Be available as a second line of support after-hours and during the weekend.
Provide leadership and direction to EC Techs for maintenance issues resolution and serve as a technical advisor on Capital Projects.
Represent Technical Staff in design reviews with the Projects Organization and external stakeholders, ensuring design criteria and construction drawing packages meet operational standards.
Identify gaps in field processes or procedures and provide technical assistance to address them.
Evaluate and assess Area Technicians for areas of improvement and readiness for promotion
Apply and reinforce Standard Operating Procedures to maintain safe and reliable facility operations.
Support the development and execution of project scopes related to facilities and compression equipment.
Investigate equipment failures and reliability issues and develop actionable solutions.
Who you are:
You have the following education and/or experience:
Related university degree and seven‐plus years’ experience OR ten‐plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
Must have valid driver’s license and willing to drive to any Central Region location
Must reside within 30 miles of assigned work location
Desired Qualifications
Natural Gas Transmission experience.
10+ yrs. experience in the Electrical/Controls field.
Ability to direct and coordinate the work of others.
Ability to train others plus evaluate and recommend training for others in the electrical/controls field.
Possess advanced troubleshooting skills and knowledgeable on new technology.
Experienced in troubleshooting and programming in multiple control systems – preferably Allen-Bradley and Siemens 505 (Workshop)
Experience with AVEVA InTouch (Wonderware)
Ability to lead others on projects and resolving operational issues.
Must be adaptable to changing project types, conditions, and workloads.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Ability to work well under critical situations.
Possess knowledge and experience with electrical/controls related equipment.
Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to self-manage, set priorities, and establish goals – as well as work effectively with others in a team environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer applications such as Word, Excel, SharePoint, Oracle, and Electrical/Controls specific programs.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Demonstrated broad business and technical knowledge in resolving problems, project management, identifying opportunities, and has a keen awareness of interrelationships with other stakeholders
Proven track record to initiate and lead change, be innovative, think strategically, and work well with teams.
Knowledge of NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
