Mechanical Operations Manager

We are seeking a Mechanically-inclined working manager.

This position requires:

• Managing day-to-day operational activities to assure activities are accomplished in an efficient, cost-effective, and safe manner
• Providing supervision of railcar mechanics
• Inspecting railcars for AAR/FRA defects
• Insuring paperwork for railcar repairs is correct and complete
• Maintaining a valid state driver's license if required to operate company equipment
• Working flexible schedules and all shifts, sometimes including weekends and holidays

Experience Needed:

• Railcar Repair required
• Track Repair required
• Two years of supervisory experience
• Strong mechanical background
• Stick welding and metal fabrication
• Utilizing cutting torches, grinders, and basic hand tools
• Railroad experience is preferred

Work and Environmental Conditions:

• Must be able to constantly work in an outdoor environment, exposed to all weather elements, including extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and being on call
• Must be able to frequently climb, using various types of ladders, to heights in excess of 16 feet
• Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
