About the role

Our Albany Family Medicine office is hiring a full-time Patient Support Supervisor to join our team! The hours are: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with training and supervising assigned staff and helping them develop performance goals and objectives.
  • Oversee orientation and training of new clerical staff.
  • Analyze workload requirements and schedule front office staff appropriately to ensure coverage requirements.
  • Assist with performance evaluation, promotion recommendations, and disciplinary actions by providing feedback to the Practice Manager
  • Monitor appointments, patient flow, medical record, medical transcription system
    and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and with office’s standards of quality patient
    care.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems.
  • Participate in professional development activities to keep current with health care
    trends and practices.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality.
  • Proactively alert practice manager to potential patient relations issues or opportunities.
  • Prepare payroll accurately and in a timely fashion, in accordance with established Community Care procedures.

Compensation: $50,500-$65,500 annually

Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in health or business administration preferred.
  • Three years of medical office experience including one year in supervisory capacity, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing and computer systems and applications.
  • Ability to work cohesively and interdepartmentally building positive working relationships.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and advanced office procedures.
  • Skill in effective work-flow management of front office staff.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
