This position plays an integral role within and outside of Saputo, serving as a coordinator between Sales, Customers, Operations, and Technical Services/RD functions to drive customer satisfaction and value.

How You will Make Contributions That Matter….

• Work directly with the Category, Sales, Marketing, and/or Innovation teams on new/existing product solutions.

• Work alongside the Commercialization team on first production runs to maintain high-quality performance for the business.

• Liaise directly with customers to facilitate new products or new business opportunities.

• Provide training on Saputo Mozzarella Everyday cheese products and process internally to sales team and externally to customer teams.

• Support Sales on key account customer visits and provide prompt feedback to internal support groups (RD, CM, etc.) on visit details.

• Support Technical Services/RD team by generating trial product performance studies and shelf-life profiles. 

• Responsible for coordinating and prescreening sales sample requests with Operations to ensure appropriate attention is given to significant and sensitive opportunities and done so in a rapid manner.

• Provide product and cheese process performance support to Technical Service activities by monitoring impact of process changes on product performance.

• Develop databank of key customer performance criteria and product application conditions as well as information on competitor product to compare against.

• Evaluate customer quality issues or product opportunities under standard and/or specific customer applications.

• Provide feedback to Operations on product performance resulting from new product or process resulting from the customer driven changes.

• Evaluate competitive product to facilitate sales driven competitor displacement opportunities.

You Are Best Suited For The Role If You Have…

• Bachelor’s degree in food science plus 3-5 years of related experience (R&D or sales in the cheese (preferred) or dairy manufacturing industry). Masters in Food Science/MBA is a plus.

• Experience in R&D, innovation, product, technology development, or dairy sales roles and/or manager positions in the cheese or dairy manufacturing industry in required.

• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence with integrity through persuasive communication to win support across various functional areas, along with customers and outside organizations.

• Strong people and project management skills to effectively and efficiently drive a complex program.

• Dynamic, flexible, proactive approach and ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations within strict deadlines.

• Strives for high standards, seeks innovative solutions and demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail.

• Successful track record and/or deep understanding of the product/process commercialization from benchtop to successful execution to market (is a plus).

• Effective presentation skills and ability to communicate results and data efficiently and clearly to groups of people.

• Proficient in use of information. Microsoft Excel, BI and advanced analytical tools such as PowerBI.

• Familiarity with SAP Architecture/planning system is a plus.

• Travel up to 50% (to various customers and trade shows).

Salary Range: $87,510 to $114,855
