Job Summary

This position maintains responsibility for Tier 3 systems that support plant operations.
This position is responsible for processing water and operating plant equipment in order to support plant operation while minimizing solid and liquid effluents.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Plan, organize, direct and control Radwaste Operations resources to ensure support of plant operations and minimization of liquid and solid effluents.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain constructive relationships with regulatory interfaces, Chemistry, Radiation Protection, and Operations personnel.
• Supervise Radwaste personnel to ensure safe and reliable operations of plant equipment.
• Plan, organize, direct and control Operations Support resources.
• Establish and maintain constructive relationships with regulatory agencies.

• Track performance and advocate for Tier 3 systems in the Plant Health process.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

· High School Diploma

· Nuclear Radwaste Experience

·Demonstrates good leadership and problem solving skills.

·Exhibits professional work ethics.

·Good written and verbal communication skills.

·Able to maintain composure during stressful situations.

·Occasional long, irregular hours.

·Use of a PC, computer terminal and/or telephone usually more than 6 hours a day.

·Supervise Operations personnel to ensure safe and reliable operation of Plant equipment.

·Ensure adherence to regulations, policies and procedures.

·Plan, organize, direct and control Plant Operations.

·Maintain constructive relationships with regulatory agencies.

·Maintain constructive relationships with other departments.

·Ensure conservative decision making and nuclear safety.

• Track performance and advocate for Tier 3 systems in the Plant Health process.
