Description
Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC a world class supplier of power generation services, parts and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who has a desire to join a growing organization and an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work.
In this role you will, manage the production group of CNC Machinists and support personal within the operational scope of the BSH division at Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis (MD&A).
The position requires knowledge of business processes, management, and leadership principals, sound judgment for decision-making, as well as technical knowledge of CNC Machining, including programming capabilities, knowledge of turning and milling process.
This includes all resource planning for effective rebuilds operations: Safety, Quality Plans, Staffing, Scheduling, Engineering, etc.
Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide status updates, metrics, and reports to upper management, as required.
- Meet targets and achieve business metrics such as Safety, Quality, Sales, Profit, On-time Delivery, and productivity (utilization) and implement actions as needed for improvement.
- Provide or ensure training for personnel as required to perform their work.
- Coordinate project needs with other divisions or outside contractors as required
- Manage the day-to-day projects of the CNC operations from the cradle to the grave.
- Oversee and assist the floor leads.
- Continuously work on process optimization and removing non-value-added work through the Division.
- Support the quality system and compliance efforts.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit.
- Communicate effectively with subordinates and management at all levels.
- Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of third parties.
- Always maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity.
Requirements

Education and/or Experience: 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with programming M&G code, macro statements, and Mastercam.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and members of the business community. Ability to professionally communicate (verbal & written) with all members of the workforce.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply mathematical concepts for business planning and metrics tracking. Strong trigonometry skills desired.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of information and data, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of database software; project management software; spreadsheet software and word processing software; e-mail; presentations; flow charts, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Standing for extended periods
- Frequent Mobility and Flexibility
- Communicate effectively in an industrial setting
- Work extended hours during peak season (Spring & Fall)
- Lift 25-50 lbs.
In addition, the candidate must occasionally work in an environment that contains toxic or caustic chemicals and may be exposed to a loud industrial setting. Therefore, adherence to MD&A Safety Program and customer safety procedures is a basic and critical requirement, including the appropriate use of required personal protection equipment.
