Summary:
Securly is looking for a highly motivated Customer Education Specialist to design content and deliver internal and customer-facing training, both virtual and in person. The Customer Education Specialist will work as an integral part of the assessment, design, development, and evaluation of online, hybrid, and traditional courses and learning experiences. This individual will conceptualize and storyboard instructionally sound, interactive, engaging course components, break down concepts and best practices, and create easy-to-understand e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and training reference materials to teach our customers how to use our products best
This is a new role within our company and will change over time as the team grows and initiatives change.
What You Will Do:
- Execute on end-to-end planning, design, and development of learning interventions, using face-to-face instructor-led, e-learning and web-based methodologies
- Contribute to the development of training content using established instructional design models (e.g. ADDIE) in a variety of formats (instructor-led, e-learning, blended learning) which supports the overall training strategy
- Collaborate and provide consultation with business partners and subject matter experts to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate training solutions
- Incorporate adult learning theory and formal instructional design process methodology, including analysis of requirements, job task analysis, development of curriculum maps, storyboards, flowcharts, performance objectives, learning activities, supporting reference materials, and evaluation and measurement strategies.
- Develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of our training and perform intakes and needs analyses for requested learning projects
- Review feedback and refine course materials based on feedback to support instructor and learner needs
KPIs
- Completion of initiatives to improve quality, reliability, and repeatability of services.
- Delivery metrics (i.e., customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, utilization)
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in education
- Learning or Instructional Design Certificate (e.g. Adult Learning Certificate, ATD Instructional Design Certificate, etc.)
- Deep understanding and experience designing and delivering professional development for K12 audiences (Teachers/Administration and other staff)
- Extensive knowledge of Instructional Design and Adult Learning principles
- Experience in a similar role in the professional services environment
- Self-starter with an established track record of effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines and working in a dynamic, fast-paced, team environment
- Ability to write clear, engaging, and effective training content
- Experience using a Learning Management System to keep training content organized
- Strong working knowledge of e-learning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Captivate)
- Experience using basic video and audio editing software
- Experience using data to inform and continually adjust content management and delivery
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written)
- Travel up to 25% of the time to start. Travel may be more during high-demand times
