About the opportunity
Dayforce is looking for a Product Manager, with Public Sector experience, to join our team! In this role, you’ll support the public sector Workforce Management (WFM) initiatives. The selected candidate will have public sector experience, including knowledge of union environments and collective bargaining agreements (CBA), along with a deep understanding of Workforce Management functionality, roles, and responsibilities to help drive initiatives to completion.
A Product Manager empowers application teams to efficiently deliver high quality products that address current and future requirements, leveraging market insight and thought leadership. What you’ll get to do
• Drive forward Workforce Management (WFM) Public Sector initiatives with a passion and enthusiasm
• Serve as the voice of the user in conversations with design, tech, and business partners
• Drive discussions with customers, users, and developers on execution of product intent
• Maintain a comprehensive backlog
• Identify, prioritize and execute against both the backlog and roadmap using a data driven approach
• Manage the risk of poorly developed software by ensuring the team is focused on building the right product for the right user at the right time
• Operate effectively and independently in an uncertain environment
• Motivate and inspire colleagues without direct authority

Skills and experience we value
• Understanding of accessibility requirements and audits
• A history of successful management of cross-functional projects
• Experience writing user stories, doing user research, decomposing technical projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional self-awareness and influencing skills

What would make you really stand out
• Prior experience as a Product Manager working directly with developer teams
• Prior experience in Public Sector
• Prior experience in WFM technology with knowledge of Position Management and Position Classification
• Protected B clearance preferred
