Job Summary:

Job Summary:
Advanced technician role that provides both people and program oversight. Able to oversee technician teams, coordinate schedules, operational activities, and collaborate with pharmacy leaders. In addition to technician oversight, also able to develop, modify, or maintain new programs that grow the department or meet regulatory needs. Works independently with team to provide employee growth opportunities and to ensure patient care needs are exceeded.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•     Provides program and people ovesight in various pharmacy areas. 

•     Develops program plans, goals and objectives in collaboration with program and area leadership.       

•     Provides professional and/or technical leadership in the execution of day-to-day program activities across pharmacy settings and teams   

•     Communicates within and across department to maximize information sharing around progress, needs, inter-dependencies and accomplishments.      

•     Participates in institutional task forces and other special committees related to the achievement of goals and objective.      

•     Assists pharmacy leaders in analyzing operational process for potential workflow or process changes.

•     Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control, policies, customer service.

•     Operates computer systems and utilizes technology; serves as a subject matter expert for systems used in operational area.

•     Works collaboratively with Pharmacy management to effect positive change in the workplace.

• Develops, implements, and maintains new programs and protocols.

• Oversees and reviews quality assurance data and takes corrective action for variances.

• Functionally able to perform any technican job duty across the department

• Effectively manages human resources and creates an environment which enhances morale and facilities teamwork.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

•     Process Improvement (Advanced): Identifies, analyzes and improves upon existing business processes for optimization and to meet standards of quality.

•     Financial Processes (Advanced): Ability to monitor costs, expenses and revenue as well as the ability to manage those costs and expenses in relation to budgeted amounts.

•     Mentoring & Coaching (Intermediate): The essence of training and mentoring on the job is transfer of knowledge. Whereas training can be considered more formal and scheduled, mentoring is often in the form of guidance and "hands-on" experiences. The reporting relationship is unimportant since the purpose is to pass on information and experiences. These discussions normally center around a person's goal of learning job procedures, content, standards, analysis and problem-solving.

•     Program Management (Advanced): Planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific program goals and objectives. 

•     Pharmaceutical Computer Literacy (Intermediate): Has demonstrated a high level of proficiency in understanding  computers or has successfully completed additional training for applications that are used to support more complex or automated medication use processes. Is capable of using the advanced features of pharmaceutical computer applications to support  patient care issues of moderate difficulty.

•     Pharmaceutical Drug Preparation, Dispensing & Distribution (Expert): Is a recognized technical expert  in assisting the pharmacist in drug preparation, dispensing and distribution. Expected to have the  process
