Position Overview 

This position involves all aspects of the monthly corporate accounting close including fixed assets, journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Complete journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes
  • Conducting financial statement analyses and documenting meaningful explanations for fluctuations
  • Participate in quarterly reviews and annual year-end audit, including preparing audit schedules, and gathering documents
  • Identifies efficiencies & recommends enhancements to management
  • Works with internal/external auditors as needed
  • Documents and/or updates policies and procedures as needed
  • Prepares and posts monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals
  • Manage fixed asset ledger, including the timely reporting of assets acquired, disposed, and sold

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • BS/BA in Accounting required.
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations
  • Knowledge of accounting processes
  • Personal integrity when working with personal and sensitive financial information
  • One to three years of experience in general ledger and financial systems desired
  • Proficient in excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
