The Core Platform within the US Card business is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager to help our product teams operate as effectively as possible by building a foundation of excellence through metrics, business processes, best practices and reporting. Key objectives include ensuring transparency into demand signals for Core, enabling effective prioritization and trade-off decisions through reporting, and streamlining the internal customer experience. In this role, you will manage, scale, and evolve our local centralized intake processes to enable the frictionless flow of intent from ideation to build. You will do so in a well-managed way, in partnership with key stakeholders within Core and Card. You will create transparency into Core’s end-to-end delivery pipeline through feedback loops and self-service tools and resources. You will also develop PI planning strategy and implement metrics to help identify improvement opportunities.  A part of your responsibilities will also provide high level guidance on impacted teams as emerging intent is refined.  Lastly, you will ensure these processes continue to mature over time by instilling a culture of continuous improvement. 

General Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and scale a our local centralized intake framework, which will include integration with Card centralized intake and our local intake for all types of demand, along with a process to triage that demand based on complexity and prioritization

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive portfolio backlog, inclusive of both product and technology demand

  • Maintain and evolve a centralized impact assessment process, focused on identifying potentially impacted service, platform, or horizontal teams required to deliver newly introduced intent

  • Maintain and evolve a process to enable effective prioritization and trade-off decisions before investing technology resources to refine and/or build

  • Maintain a feedback loop with the Card leadership team to understand strategic priorities and technology capacity allocation, while providing transparency into emerging intent, status of strategic priorities, and escalating any key risks/impediments

  • Partner closely with the Product and Analytics teams, along with Technology to evolve a new reporting suite and establish data governance and hygiene practices

  • Demonstrate strong communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels to manage, inform and influence outcomes

  • Ensuring the day-to-day delivery of key functions required for portfolio management, product operations and chief of staff support while problem solving with the team and key stakeholders

Scope of Role:

  • Manage local Core intake and partnership with Card intake

  • Create a PI Planning strategy, implement the strategy, and lead PI Planning activities 

  • Responsible for intake process and operational reporting improvements such as improved intent criteria, create visibility into emerging intent, generate PI performance metrics (committed vs delivered, work below line, etc.), and identify improvement opportunities

  • Provide high level direction on impacted teams for emerging intent

  • Accountable for integrity of data to support capacity planning and reporting

  • Coordinate across Core teams to support identified Card cross-platform initiatives

  • Support Card Core BAU functions:

    • Provide tactical support for special projects and initiatives

    • Coordinate management operating system routines (e.g. Monthly Ops Review)

    • Support execution of organizational events (e.g. PDP onboarding)
