Job Description
The Account Executive – Group Sales is responsible for selling new group ticket accounts and retaining a portion of group ticket accounts that they personally sold from previous years. This position will also be responsible for generating group ticket sales by bringing in new accounts and maintaining a relationship with these accounts in order to retain them annually. Additional responsibilities include provide ongoing communication via telephone, e-mail, mail and ticket system technology driven platforms including CRM, generate new business through calling prospects assigned through the lead model, lapsed Group Seat Holders, and accumulated leads from past groups, and promote sale of new and renewal group tickets.

- Maintain contact with all renewed group ticket accounts as well as all premium hospitality accounts to provide superior service with focus of retaining accounts from year-to-year
- Build revenue through sales of game tickets, picnics, suites, party decks, and other offerings for businesses, organizations, schools and other groups with greater than 20 people
- Build relationships with accounts through organized outreach, meet and greet sessions, seat visits, and video and call campaigns
- Follow up on all sales leads to sell new group accounts. Assign seat locations for all group accounts. Secure and process all payments of group ticket accounts
- Create and maintain customer information for both existing accounts and prospects through Customer Relationship Management program including logging of phone conversations, future action to be taken, current account status/stage, and logging customer complaints. Properly code all group ticket sales
- Attend and actively participate in weekly group sales, strategic sellout, and promotional/theme night meetings coming prepared to provide input on creative sales ideas and providing feedback on successes and challenges of previous week and strategic next-steps in managing the prospect-pipeline
- Research, develop, and maintain a portfolio of accounts within specified group categories as assigned. Identify new market segments and market opportunities to pursue for growth of group ticket sales
- Implement strategic ticket sales strategies in support of individual, departmental, and organizational goals including but not limited to budgeted revenue goals and sellout objectives. Provide thoughts and ideas on new sales and retention initiatives for each sales campaign
- Actively participate in strategic planning meetings with peers, across all departments, to ensure the flawless planning and execution of the team’s home game games and all other events.
- Provide game day assistance with escorting pre-game participants from group ticket accounts to the field for their specific activity. Assist at various sales related events throughout the year
- Responsible for the satisfaction and retention of sales accounts by providing exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.
- Represent the Group Sales Team on assigned game dates in designated locations.
- Meet daily outbound call, meeting, and other communication quotas, in order to attain individual and departmental sales goals
- Handle additional projects as assigned by Vice President – Ticket Sales, General Manager, Vice President of Business Development and Operations, and/or President
- Responsible for generating and developing new business with the objective being to meet and surpass individual and team sales goals. Methods include, but are not limited to, prospecting, appointment setting, face to face meetings, canvassing & cold calling
- Responsible for the achievement of ticket sales goals and strategies.
- Participate in community functions, such as local chamber events.
- Convey group food and beverage needs to appropriate parties to ensure flawless support and execution of premium hospitality outings
- Assist other departments and support other team-wide needs when necessary.
- Responsible for other duties, as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
