Job Description

The Technical Services Assistant Manager is to be the primary resource to respond to immediate parkwide needs including attractions, facilities, shows and rides. The Assistant Manager will assist to direct teams by allocating and coordinating a shared pool of labor and non-labor resources to ensure immediate resolution.

  • Serve as the primary responder representing Technical Services on theme park incidents. Such responses are generally for the following:
    • Responds to emergency incidents
    • Ride venue downtime
    • Fire alarms and code reds
    • Mechanical malfunctions
    • Equipment failures
    • Structural issues
    • Coordinate with partners on operational impacts (safety concerns, areas blocked off, venue shut down)
    • Wildlife concerns
    • Judgment call on Emergency services from 3rd party vendors
    • Chemical/ HazMat spills
    • Parkwide power outages
  • Direct contact with senior management and executives on incident management.  This includes notifications regarding ride/show and facilities downtime, and mitigation strategy for resolution. 
  • Management of workflow through the department of both routine and assigned tasks and output of the technicians to ensure completeness and that all quality standards are met
  • In coordination with respective managers, approve overtime and other schedule changes as necessary for immediate repairs
  • Management of work orders by creating, revising, and completing work orders as necessary
  • Work closely with internal operational partners to identify and correct operational issues quickly
  • Responsible to input Desktop Requisitions into work order system and assure it is processed through to work order closure.
  • Be a visible and present representative of Technical Services and facilitate communication and collaboration between team members, management, and departments.
  • Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or combination of applicable education and experience
  • Over 3 years of work experience in a high-paced environment working with multiple disciplines
  • Ability & willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience working with CMMS systems preferred. (Maximo, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project

Desired Characteristics

  • Theme Park Operations knowledge and experience
  • Familiarity of equipment, systems, controls, and troubleshooting of Ride and Shows systems and Facility infrast
