This is a non-union positionEnbridge is looking for an experienced Regional Market Strategic Advisor with knowledge in leveraging marketing and who can help optimizers identify and evaluate enterprise level initiatives.
In this role, you will use in-depth marketing expertise to build, generate, and identify cross-functional strategic opportunities to maximize enterprise value. You will also provide in depth marketing expertise taking the strategic view, understanding the financial impacts, growth portfolio, marketing potential, macro-economic factors external to Enbridge, customer/competitor strategies of multiple different specialty areas to identify and provide strategic direction on cross-asset and cross-functional opportunities to driving cross-functional value at the enterprise level.

Here’s what you will do:
Work with multiple partners across LP to identify, generate and drive progress of cross-asset and cross functional initiatives.
Provide an in-depth understanding of macro-economic market factors.
Address complex cross-functional opportunities through problem solving, delivering in-depth analysis and recommendations.
Facilitate and manage VCO initiatives while supporting other members of the VCO team with analysis and recommendations as required.
Support and provide direction for key partners to understand deliverables.
Develop and monitor key metrics on the progress of workstreams.
Review initiative portfolios to find opportunities for enterprise value generation.
Collaborate with Optimizers to assess, evaluate, and recommend strategies for asset optimization.
Build cross-functional expertise and create marketing knowledge within the VCO.
Train and provide guidance to junior members of the VCO organization.
Who you are:
You have:
Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of experience in the energy industry in trading or adjacent roles.
For candidates who do not possess a university related degree, an additional 3 years of experience is required.
Strong in-depth understanding of macroeconomic market fundamentals and regional market knowledge such as producer, refinery, shippers’ consumers etc.
In-depth experience with crude oil trading leading a large marketing portfolio. This also includes experience implementing commodity transactions (both physical and financial), commodity hedging strategies, managing storage positions, amongst other typical of a crude oil trading desk.
Market fundamentals, such as knowledge of LP macro-economic market behavior, including supply (e.g., upstream production, transport capacity), demand (i.e., short, and long-term sector outlook and price outlook).
Regional market knowledge, such as an understanding of the market in the relevant region, including major producers, shippers, consumers, and crude grades.
Financial acumen, such as proficiency in financial modeling and analysis (e.g., DCF, NPV, IRR), and experience working with financial tools (e.g., Excel).
Model usage experience, such as the ability to leverage complex pipeline network models to glean insights in conducting scenario analysis and supporting decision-making activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
