Job Title:   Apartment Groundskeeper                       

Department:   Maintenance

Reports To:  Apartment Senior Maintenance Supervisor

Effective Date: February 3, 2025          

Job Summary:

The Groundskeeper performs landscaping tasks using power equipment and hand tools to maintain the facility’s grounds. 

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Trim bushes and rake leaves as assigned.
• Water new trees and landscaping, especially around new buildings
• Pull up and spray weeds
• Pick up the lot and around the dumpster area
• Sweep around curbs
• Clean outside A/C units
• Repair and maintain ground level downspouts
• Keep breezeways clean
• Fill cracks in the sidewalk
• Pothole repair
• Pressure wash as needed
• Snow and ice removal
• Pick up and remove trash prior to mowing a designated area.
• Trim trees, bushes, shrubs, and hedges.
• Prepare soil and plants flowers, bushes, hedges, or shrubs.
• Apply fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides as directed.
• Perform routine maintenance on power equipment.
• Assist maintenance technicians as needed for turns, paint, and moving appliances
