Sr. Procurement Specialist - Power Transmission & Distribution

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior Procurement Specialist to support our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project teams. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of procurement and subcontracting activities for complex Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects. From RFP development and commercial bid evaluation to contract execution and project close-out, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring materials and services are sourced, secured, and delivered on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Project and Procurement Managers to support project pursuit and execution schedules
- Develop bidders lists and solicit pre-qualification documents; evaluate proposals for commercial compliance, diversity goals (MBE/WBE), and corporate standards
- Prepare and issue RFPs, analyze bids, negotiate contract terms, and recommend contract awards
- Coordinate technical proposal reviews with EPC engineering teams
- Ensure all supplier and subcontractor agreements include necessary prime contract flow-down provisions
- Draft, review, and finalize contracts in compliance with internal policies and client requirements
- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure performance and resolve issues
- Manage and regularly update the Procurement Status Report (PSR) for internal visibility and tracking
- Monitor and resolve procurement risks, such as delivery delays, scope gaps, or pricing discrepancies
- Validate materials and quantities based on engineering drawings and enter data into materials management systems
- Support resolution of overages, shortages, and damaged items through coordination with construction and logistics teams
- Ensure all procurement activities align with internal compliance, safety, and documentation standards
- Take on special projects and additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5+ years of procurement experience within EPC environments, particularly in T&D projects
- Proven track record in managing vendor/subcontractor RFPs, bid evaluations, contract negotiation, and material logistics
- Experience with supplier prequalification, submittal tracking, and expediting on high-value infrastructure projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Logistics, or a related field
Preferred:
Established network of vendors and subcontractors in the T&D or energy sector

- Comfortable communicating with all levels of staff and external partners
Travel Requirements:
Must be willing to travel up to 50% based on project needs
