Our client is looking for exceptional IT Client Support Technician in the Midland/ Odessa-Texas area. Type: Long term contract - 1 year plus Location: Midland/ Odessa- Texas- Need to be onsite- 5 days a weekTravel to field locations. Industry: Oil & Gas W2 Employment only, No C2C, No Sponsorship, No Relocation Job Description The IT Client Support Technician will provide exceptional customer service and technical support for both corporate and remote office environments. This role will focus heavily on refreshing and replacing customer equipment at remote locations, imaging computers, and coordinating with end-users to schedule refreshes. The technician will support hardware, software, and peripheral devices while maintaining corporate IT standards and ensuring efficient asset lifecycle management. Essential Functions
- Refresh and replacement projects for end-user devices, including imaging, configuration, and deployment.
- Configure and deploy workstations, install corporate-approved software, and manage networked printer setups.
- Coordinate with end-users to schedule refreshes and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Manage IT asset lifecycle, inventory control and equipment assignment.
- Document all incidents, tasks, resolutions, and procedures in the enterprise ticketing system.
- Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of IT support experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of workstation systems, operating systems (Windows), Microsoft products (Microsoft Suite, Teams, and Outlook).
- Service Now experience to manage IT asset lifecycle, inventory control and equipment assignment.
- Oil and Gas is a must.
- Refresh deployments experience required
- Familiarity with mobile platforms (Apple iOS & Android).
- Ability to perform complex troubleshooting on client software, hardware, and configurations.
- Proficient in computer imaging and standardized deployment processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for assisting users both in person and remotely.
- Ability to collaborate within a strong team environment and contribute to collective goals.
- Ability to travel for remote site support and refresh projects.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Day or overnight travel for field projects
- Experience in enterprise-wide refresh projects or multi-site deployments.
- Knowledge of IT asset management best practices.
- Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with PPE requirements and safety protocols in field settings.
