Project Overview:
Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas.
RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the recruiting, screening and in processing of the craft employee. Proficient in the requisition tracking programs and employee data programs. Has an extensive knowledge and understanding of industrial relations including ability to function as the Industrial Relations (IR) Representative on a medium to large-sized construction or maintenance project. Prior advanced experience in handling daily recruiting activities to meet project labor demand, and exposure to local community relations activities. Participates in delivery of craft new hire orientation. Monitors existing IR programs to ensure desired objectives and /or results are being achieved. Provide advice and counsel to management on IR policies. #LI-BH1
Major Responsibilities:
- Oversees the activity of other recruiters and processors with the objective to meet staffing deadlines in a timely fashion.
- Has oversight responsibility for the recruiting process.
- Identifies and recommends action to address process improvement, projected staffing needs and potential shortfalls in project staffing requirements.
- Collects information or data for the development of an industrial relations program, policy or procedures received from local government agencies, employer associations, trade publications, area competitors and private agencies to determine what crafts are available in the area and their basic skills levels.
- Collects, assembles and analyzes data or information for industrial relations reports and compares craft availability in the area to the company require
