At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.

We are a team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the success of Engines Advanced Programs and will require your commitment and detailed attention toward safe, reliable, and repeatable operations.

You will be part of a well-rounded, talented team of engineers who design, analyze, and develop structural and mechanical GSE for Engines Advanced Programs operations while supporting the hardware throughout all life cycle phases. You will be the owner for assigned hardware development through design, analysis, procurement/build, and final commissioning. Engines Advanced Programs Structural/Mechanical GSE includes but is not limited to dynamic and static mounting equipment, towers, pipe supports, maintenance stands, transporters, dolly systems and other general tooling. You will receive project objectives/goals to turn into concept of operations and system requirements, perform concept, initial and final CAD design, perform structural analysis, inform system safety analysis, facilitate design reviews, and oversee build and final testing of the hardware. You will be responsible for mechanical system development that may include hydraulic, pneumatic, or other energized systems as required. You will be responsible for delivering cost-effective, simple, and elegant solutions to complicated problems through your structural and mechanical designs. You will inform project engineers with schedule and budget input, and manage your own project scope and timelines to deliver on program needs.

We are looking for a technically curious, doer engineer to apply their technical expertise, leadership, and passion for quality to positively impact Engines Advanced Programs. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
