Position Start Date: August 1, 2025
Required Degree: Master’s degree required (preferably in business, public administration, writing, or a related field). The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience: Teaching, writing, consulting, or leadership experience preferred
Duties/Expectations:
Key Responsibilities:
- This is a part-time, adjunct position serving graduate-level students who are preparing for leadership in public and nonprofit service.
- Teach in-person twice per week (75-minute sessions) for the day classes.
- Teach in-person once a week in the evening (120-minute session).
- Hold office hours (in-person or virtual), approximately two hours per week
- Provide detailed feedback on major writing and communication assignments
- Mentor students through individual writing projects, team case presentations, and employment communication projects
- Support students in developing strong writing, presentation, and U.S. English grammar skills
- Commitment to the mission and values of BYU and the BYU Marriott School
- Must abide by the BYU Honor Code and Dress and Grooming Standards
