Mosaic is looking for a highly motivated senior full-stack engineer to join our growing platform & architecture team as we scale our strategic finance platform. You will be responsible for building platform services and tooling to improve the overall developer experience and efficiency, ensuring platform reliability, performance, and scalability, and creating & sharing best practices. You will utilize your excellent communication and technical skills to further the platform's maturity and build strong relationships with product engineering and DevOps team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Your impact will span the entire engineering organization. You will be the go-to person for entire platform services and in demand as a mentor and sounding board for new ideas.
  • Your expertise should span the full stack (cloud infrastructure, backend, frontend) and all facets of the Mosaic platform.
  • Working closely with our product engineering teams to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
  • Contributing to the development of Mosaic products by implementing prototypes, internal frameworks, and reference implementations for critical platform components.
  • Defining and providing architectural standards with guidance on technologies and frameworks.
  • Guiding and assisting product engineering teams throughout the implementation of features.
  • Providing documentation of the concepts and architecture of the products.
  • Ensuring recommended architectural designs, patterns, and performance recommendations are adhered to as part of the delivery.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of significant hands-on experience within system design, application development, high availability distributed systems, cloud computing, and PaaS/SaaS implementations.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering cloud-based SaaS applications in Azure, AWS, or GCP. Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solution Architect a plus.
  • Experience with cloud offerings such as EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, API Gateway, etc, a plus.
  • Experience with microservice-oriented architecture and supporting a transition from a monolithic application a big plus.
  • Strong experience with C#, Java, C++, or similar object oriented language.
  • Experience with Angular is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Deep understanding and commitment to software engineering principles/processes (e.g. Agile, DevOps, TDD) and continuous. improvement through measurement.
  • Experience with test automation as a way of maintaining high quality.
  • Experience mentoring engineers of all levels.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • B.S. in Computer Science, similar degree, or equivalent practical experience
