Senior Associate - Sr. Quality Test Engineer (SDET)

We are seeking a hands-on Sr. Quality Test Engineer (SDET) with deep expertise in test automation frameworks and modern quality engineering practices. This role is highly technical and execution-focused — you will design, build, and run automated test suites that ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor who can code, script, and automate across the stack, while also experimenting with next-generation QA approaches such as AI-assisted test generation and Agentic AI-driven testing automation.
This role requires someone with strong analytical skills, solid engineering discipline, and a passion for embedding quality into every stage of the development lifecycle.
What You'll Do:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test frameworks for UI, API, mobile, and microservices applications.
- Write automated test scripts in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript, ensuring reusability and scalability.
- Leverage tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, MABL, and REST Assured for automation coverage.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).
- Explore and implement AI-driven testing approaches, including autonomous test case generation and defect detection using GenAI.
- Research and apply Agentic AI frameworks to automate multi-step test workflows and self-healing test systems.
- Perform API testing (Postman, SOAP UI, REST Assured) and database validation using SQL/NoSQL queries.
- Conduct performance and load testing with JMeter, Gatling, or Locust.
- Partner with developers to adopt shift-left testing practices and ensure testability of applications.
- Debug issues, conduct root cause analysis, and contribute fixes where appropriate.
- Continuously enhance automation coverage and optimize execution efficiency.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on QA/SDET experience in enterprise-scale environments.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#).
- Strong expertise with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, MABL, BDD/TDD).
- Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid knowledge of API testing and working with relational (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of Agile and SAFe methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and scripting skills.
Preferred / Desired Skills
- Experience with AI-driven test automation and exposure to Agentic AI-based testing workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud-native application testing on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Exposure to Salesforce/CRM platforms and insurance/financial services industry applications.
- Experience with test observability and monitoring tools to track quality metrics.
- Certifications such as ISTQB, Certified SDET, AWS/Azure QA certifications.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization for automated test suites.
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $79,000-$113,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
