Position: Forklift/Material Handler
Pay: $22.29/hr. for first 3 years. year 4 goes to $25.88
Shifts:
- 1st Shift- 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
- 2nd Shift - 3:00 P.M. to 11:30 P.M.
- 3rd Shift- 11:00 P.M. to 7:30 A.M.
*5 days on, 2 days off depending on which line you are operating*

What You Will Do
As a Forklift/Material Handler, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport, load, and unload materials within the facility. Your duties will include:
- Moving raw materials, finished products, and supplies to and from production lines, storage areas, and shipping zones.
- Performing routine equipment inspections and reporting maintenance needs.
- Assisting in inventory management, including tracking materials and ensuring accurate records.
- Supporting production and logistics by staging materials and maintaining an organized workspace.
- Adhering to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
How You Will Do It
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Inspect loads to ensure they are secure and comply with weight restrictions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of material movement and inventory.
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as refueling or charging equipment.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, disposing of waste materials properly.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational instructions, both written and verbal.
What We Look For
- Experience: 1+ year(s) operating forklifts or material handling equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Certification: Forklift operator certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, twisting, and kneeling for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot or cold environments.
- Skills:
- Basic computer skills for inventory and tracking systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Availability:
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, weekends, and flexible hours as needed to meet production demands.
- PPE: Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Our Toledo, Ohio fully integrated plant manufactures batteries used in
automotive and marine applications. This is our largest plant at Clarios. We
opened our facility in 1981 and now employ more than 610 people and operate
six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and give
back through the United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Cherry Street Mission and
Ronald McDonald House.
