You are a heavyweight champion when it comes to the modern day social (media) landscape, new platforms, upcoming techniques, and the latest trends. With your unique eye, you can spot creative opportunities within communities and shift them into strategic underlined briefs for a creative team of other social masterminds. You are a hybrid creative with multiple skills up your sleeve to create output resulting in the buildup of strong social strategies, solid ideas, engaging social campaigns and formats, newsworthy digital activations, and more. You are ready to start leading a team of creatives in order to step up towards a position of Creative Director in the near future.
Goal of the position
As an Associate Creative Director, you steer the boat and run a tight ship to ensure the quality of the final products is grade A material for global brands like Heineken. You will inspire and guide a young team of driven (a tad goofy, a little wild, but always dedicated) innovators to deliver strong concepts and executions, overseeing the entire process, reviewing ideas, and staying up to date with the (E)CD, Account Director, Project Managers, Strategists and Client. All with the brand and social strategy of a client like Heineken, encrypted in the back of your head.
You report to a business lead and a Executive Creative Director on a creative & management level, and to the Account Director on a client & project level.
What we expect from you
We’re looking for an Associate Creative Director who’s no stranger to social exploration within the hasty world of advertising. Being creative is evidently a no-brainer but you’re experienced with creating original and effective formats, assets, and campaigns, translating them into decks with your team and then eloquently pitching them to our clients. You always manage to squeeze yourself and your creative team through tight deadlines. You’re agile, a strong communicator, you take charge and ownership of the brand on all social channels, helping everyone grow - yourself included. In short, you’re the conductor orchestrating home-run projects with your team that’ll leave clients begging for more.
Qualifications
A rundown of your responsibilities
As a creative:
- Think of and create original, effective and platform native concepts and campaigns for any type of channel (From Insta, Twitch, Discord to Threads), while guarding the (social) strategic and creative direction of the brand;
- Ensure strong and non-traditional creative output;
- Manage multiple projects (like a shitload!) simultaneously while keeping to strict deadlines and while keeping your head cool;
- Monitor, adjust and evaluate the creative process;
- Translate strategies into creative concepts;
- Come up with proactive ideas for both existing clients in your team as non- existing clients outside of your team;
- Design a variety of communicative outputs;
- Or oversee the process of visualizing a concept to a high-quality result (Art Direction);
- Add some killer copy lines to the equation when needed.
As a director:
- Oversee a diverse team of individuals on a creative level;
- Lead kick-offs, reviews and brainstorms with inspiration and examples;
- Brief your creative team;
- Work together closely with strategy, project, studio and account within your team;
- Think along with your team members in order to make other ideas stronger and better, or turn them down in a constructive way.
- As a client contact
- Create presentations of ideas and concepts, including sketches and mock-ups;
- Present ideas to clients with one or multiple team members or assign presentations to your team;
- You will be sparring with clients;
- You have an ‘always-on’ mentality (the web never sleeps);
- Translate the clients’ wishes in terms of reach, effect and stated goals into a concise.
