Network & Telecommunications Project Manager

The Network & Telecommunications Project Manager performs technical, business, and administrative duties related to information technology operations, technical infrastructure projects, and technical infrastructure support within Richland County.
Manages the Network & Telecom team projects, assists with the IT disaster prevention program, the IT disaster recovery program, the IT maintenance contracts, and participates in the development of technical standards and procedures.
Regularly interacts with the IT Business Systems Division and GIS Division. Regularly interacts with department heads and their employees from all of Richland County’s departments. Regularly interacts with outside consultants and outside vendors.
Reports to the Network & Telecom Division Chief.
Education
Must have successfully completed college level course work in related topics, or attended related professional seminars, or have equivalent professional experience. High school diploma is required. Must be able to supply written proof of completion for all course work and/or degrees that are being used to satisfy the minimum training requirements.
Experience
Must have 3 years advanced work experience in any combination of technical areas such as WANs, LANs, VoIP, wireless, server hardware/software, Help Desk management, or other relevant computer experience.
Certifications
A+ certification and MTA/MCP certifications are required. Network +, Security+, MCSE and CCNA certifications are preferred
Licenses
Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver’s License.
