Job Summary: 

The Director of Corporate Sponsorship Sales is primarily responsible for generating new business with local, regional, and national companies through sponsorship sales at Hall of Fame Village, a subsidiary of the publicly traded Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (NASDAQ: HOFV, HOFVW). The ideal candidate will be an independent self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.


Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities: 

- Prospect and close new sponsorships that meet Company goals and objectives quarterly.

- Provide superior guest service to visitors, guests, clients, vendors, and staff.

- Upsell and renew existing sponsorships as directed.

- Identify categories for prospective new business leads.

- Develop and present best-in-class sales proposals and presentations to prospective sponsors.

- Work closely with other members of the Hall of Fame Resort and Entertainment Company to achieve goals of the company while meeting and exceeding individual sales revenue goals.

- Attend HOFV Campus events as needed to establish, build, and maintain valuable prospective and current client relationships.

- Represent and maximize ROI on all HOFV business organization memberships and subscriptions.

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

- Follow organizational processes and procedures to ensure compliance of working for a publicly traded company.

- All other duties as assigned. 


FULL-TIME/SALARY/EXEMPT POSITION

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Desired Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, sport marketing, communications, business administration, or related field. 

- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in direct sales, preferably in a professional sports or hospitality environment.

- Must have experience in selling sponsorships both with both national and regional companies.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. 

- Must have the ability to gain and enhance the respect and trust of superiors, peers, subordinates, customers, and the investment community. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will be ethical and have an unquestioned level of personal and professional integrity.

- Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding interpersonal relationships.

- Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding confidential matters while maintaining confidentiality.

- Must be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and entire organization.

- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of performance, working quickly without compromising quality.

- Demonstrated success in working in a team environment with the ability to interact and discern and implement the objectives of multiple stakeholders.

- Proven ability in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM input and accountability.


Physical Requirements for Position:

- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.  

- The ability to work in various Ohio weather conditions, inside and outside. 

- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones.  

- The ability to see and respond to hazardous situations.  

- The ability to sit, stand, squat, and walk for periods of time as required for the position. 

- Must be able to hear, see, and speak.

- Ability to comprehend instructions and retain information.

- Must have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job duties.

- Must be available to work in Canton, Ohio.
