Principal Technical Program Manager

Job Summary

As a Principal Technical Program Manager at Newmark, you will own and drive large-scale, crossfunctional
technology programs that enhance Newmark’s technology platforms, data capabilities, and
client-facing solutions. You will work closely with senior leadership, product, engineering, and business
teams to align technology investments with Newmark’s strategic goals. This role requires deep technical
expertise, strong program leadership, and the ability to manage complex initiatives that improve the
technology experience for both internal teams and external clients.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology programs that support Newmark’s digital
transformation and operational excellence.
• Drive the technical roadmap and program execution, balancing modernization efforts with
business-driven technology needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, product, and business stakeholders to break down ambiguous
problems into clear technical deliverables.
• Identify and manage technical risks, ensuring effective mitigation plans are in place.
• Partner with technology leadership to influence architectural decisions that improve scalability,
data quality, and platform flexibility.
• Own program communications and executive reporting, providing regular updates to leadership,
including CIO, CTO, and business executives.
• Establish and champion processes that improve engineering efficiency, system reliability, and
operational excellence.
• Build program health metrics, ensuring transparency into progress, risks, and engineering quality.
• Mentor and guide junior TPMs, elevating the technical program management discipline across
Newmark’s technology organization.
 

Basic Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in technical program management or technology leadership roles.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), data platforms, and system
integration, ideally in real estate, financial services, or adjacent industries.
• Proven experience leading multi-team programs involving enterprise data platforms, MDM
solutions, data governance, CRM systems, client portals, or transaction management platforms.
• Strong technical acumen — able to understand technical concepts, identify trade-offs, and
collaborate with engineers, data architects, and system owners.
• Experience driving data governance and master data management (MDM) initiatives to improve
data quality, standardization, and integration across platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical updates and program status
to executive leadership.
• Experience working in Agile environments with a focus on delivering value iteratively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical
field.
 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering programs in Commercial Real Estate, PropTech, or Financial Services.
• Knowledge of real estate transaction lifecycle, property management systems, and valuation
models.
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure), data lakes, MDM tools (e.g., Reltio,
Informatica), and modern data architecture.
• Proven ability to drive data governance frameworks and enable advanced analytics capabilities
through clean, well-structured data.
• Strong analytical skills with experience driving data-informed decisions.
• MBA or equivalent business experience a plus.
