About the role

Summary:

The Facilities Mechanical Engineer will play a critical role within the Corporate Site Services team.   This individual will be involved in almost all aspects of the operation of a large semiconductor manufacturing facility.  It will include participation in construction projects, facilities planning, maintenance planning, problem solving and new equipment installations.

 

Responsibilities:

Responsible for site Facilities Mechanical Engineering & System support Including:

  • Central Plant (Boilers, Chilled Water, Cooling Towers)
  • DI Water, HVAC, Process Cooling Water, PVAC, Waste Treatment, Exhaust, Cleanroom Microcontamination
  • Work with Facilities operations & maintenance: Focus on continuous improvement, operational efficiency/cost reduction, system robustness and ITP (Interruption to Production) reduction
  • System Capacity analysis/planning
  • Facilities Utility Matrix Ownership
  • Cost Estimation and Capital Budget Development
  • Project Management of Facilities Infrastructure Projects
  • Managing contractors/vendors
  • Process Tool Installation Engineering Support
  • Cost Savings/Energy Savings Projects
  • Participate in Qorvo Cross-Site Facilities CT (Collaborative Team)

 

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or related Engineering Field

  • 5+ yrs of relevant experience
  • MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, Smartsheets (a plus)
  • Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving ability
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Project Management
  • Multi-tasking ability to manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of SPC (a plus)
