Senior Application Developer (SOCOM)

About the role

WWC Global is seeking a Senior Application Developer for an active contract supporting the Joint Special Operations University (JSOU), United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The developer will directly support the Communications & Technology (C&T) group, creating robust .NET Core web applications for a variety of business cases to include but not limited to event scheduling, project tracking, service requests, course registration, and student management.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with C# and use Visual Studio IDE to create and maintain Model-View-Controller (MVC) projects.
  • Proficient in SQL/relational database structures and strive to create efficient, scalable datasets.
  • Have a strong grasp on front-end languages/frameworks such as: JavaScript/jQuery, AJAX, HTML, SCSS, Bootstrap.
  • Have a strong grasp of Microsoft Azure cloud operations, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft 365 (M365) services and features.
  • Demonstrate ability to solve complex business problems and will strive to produce scalable, interpretable code using industry standard best practices.
  • Embrace an agile mindset towards software design and development, focusing on short development intervals (sprints) to deliver steady increments of value to the customer.
  • Be able to work independently on projects, and, at times, with limited guidance/supervision (i.e., self-starter).


Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
  • Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Travel:

  • 0-10% / Minimal travel expected.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree .
