Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

About Platform Distribution & Partnerships: Platform Distribution and Partnerships is a division of NBCUniversal's media group responsible for the distribution and monetization of the company’s multi-billion-dollar linear and streaming services portfolio to pay-tv providers, NBC broadcast affiliates, consumer technology platforms and devices, and consumer brands. A key revenue-generator, the division is comprised of content distribution, affiliate relations and strategic partnerships across NBC, Peacock, Bravo, Telemundo and various FAST channels.
The Director, Global Platform Partnerships will report to the Vice President, Global Platform Partnerships and play a key role in managing NBCUniversal’s platform relationships. This role will oversee day-to-day partner management, lead strategic initiatives with key device platforms, and support the execution of distribution agreements across connected TVs and streaming devices for NBCU’s suite of DTC products, including Peacock. The Director will serve as a strategic and operational liaison across multiple internal teams - including Marketing, Product, Technology, Legal, Finance, Decision Sciences, Ad Sales, Communications and Operations – to drive execution, maximize partner performance, and deliver on critical business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow strategic relationships with major device platform partners, leading day-to-day operations and long-term partnership health.
- Support the VP in negotiating distribution agreements and deal strategy across connected TVs and streaming devices.
- Develop and execute partner-specific strategies to drive subscriber acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth.
- Lead cross-functional implementation of commercial terms and partnership initiatives, collaborating closely with internal teams across the NBCU ecosystem.
- Serve as a key point of contact for platform partners, aligning on mutual goals, resolving operational challenges, and ensuring seamless execution.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, ensuring alignment with business objectives and contract commitments, and proactively identify optimization opportunities.
- Prepare materials and lead Partner Business Reviews, surfacing key insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Support broader cross-functional initiatives by gathering and synthesizing business requirements to inform DTC product and technology roadmaps.
- Act as a subject matter expert on the device ecosystem, developing a strong understanding of partner business models, competitive dynamics, and platform capabilities.
- Supervise and mentor a Manager-level direct report, fostering growth and developing key skillsets aligned with team and organizational priorities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or digital media distribution within the television, film, or streaming industry.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading distribution deal negotiations and managing high-value partner relationships.
