Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner with bilingual German & English language skills to join our global HR team based at our office in Cologne. You will play a key leadership role in Germany for new acquired businesses and provide a strategic progressive, hands-on HR support and guidance for the local business and plays a key role in helping teams to meet organisational objectives and commitments. The candidate will implement Global, EMEA & local strategic and tactical human resource initiatives, which support achieving business objectives.
The position will provide support to local MD’s and local management team with creation & execution of the strategy, output and will develop and implement local business focused people strategies to build the human capital in the organisation and support in achieving higher levels of growth and performance.
This role will require a HR leader that can demonstrate strategic and leadership abilities but also thrive in a busy environment where there will be an initial requirement to be operational and "role-up-your-sleeves".
This individual must be relentless in their pursuit of achieving their objectives and capable of building and harnessing deep relationship in the business. You will uphold the integrity and professionalism of the company, to maintain the highest ethical and moral standards, to execute with energy, enthusiasm and creativity. Actively deliver an exceptional HR service maximizing efficiency (locally, regionally and globally).
Qualifications
The successful candidate must be a self-starter who is energized by a challenge, passionate about delivering effective, high quality HR services in a fast-changing environment and love the thrill of creating a new standard for what’s possible.
Required skills/ experience:
- Candidates will have progressive experience with high growth, fast paced organizations delivering high quality HR services that add value during periods of high growth.
- A history of delivering HR within a matrix environment and exceptional results within HR.
- Experience of working on Acquired Rights Directive and Acquisitions across Germany.
- Must be results-oriented and demonstrate strategic thinking, innovation, flexibility in dealing with changing and ambiguous situations able to generate effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations as they arise.
- Experience of managing and developing a small team.
- Experience of management information systems and reporting.
- Ability to prepare and present reports to Director level.
- Excellent project management skills including successful leadership of projects from planning phase through to completion. Must be hands-on and capable of producing work with limited support staff.
- Humility and a robust sense of humour; a willingness to be mentally flexible while retaining steadfast integrity.
- Higher Education, HR certifications and life experience are all relevant factors for consideration.
- Driven, assertive and transformational executive with excellent leadership skills; track record in hiring, managing and motivating high performance teams.
- Strong general business/commercial acumen to drive organizational and people-related strategies and outcomes.
- Fluent German and English (written and spoken at business level) essential.
