ROLE OVERVIEW  

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Information Security, the Security Engineer will partner and work with the IT team with a focus on customer satisfaction, efficient and effective security technology solutions, and partnering with clinical and business stakeholders in support of the company’s mission, vision, and values.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Identify and develop security strategies and best practices as it relates to the organizational IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, communication systems) 

  • Identify, investigate, and remediate potential security issues 

  • Direct responsibility working with internal product and development teams to ensure appropriate security considerations are included throughout the Software Development Life Cycle 

  • Develop new techniques and plans within their area of expertise 

  • Identifies trends and analyzes data, transforming the information into plans, deliverables, and recommendations 

  • Planning integrations or upgrading existing or acquired technologies to ensure compliance with organizational standards 

  • Identifying process gaps across the corporation that impact efficiency 

  • Planning, researching, and developing security standards and work instructions  

  • Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and work instructions, including those for security architecture, disaster recovery, and security technology 

  • Partner with internal and external teams to ensure a continual focus on security standards 

  • Work with managed service providers to drive efficiencies and ensure execution on the scope of services 

  • Implement secure network solutions designed to defend against cyber-threats, persistent threats, e.g., deploy and maintain wireless networks, various operating systems, Active Directory, mobile device management, data loss tools
