ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Information Security, the Security Engineer will partner and work with the IT team with a focus on customer satisfaction, efficient and effective security technology solutions, and partnering with clinical and business stakeholders in support of the company’s mission, vision, and values.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and develop security strategies and best practices as it relates to the organizational IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, communication systems)
Identify, investigate, and remediate potential security issues
Direct responsibility working with internal product and development teams to ensure appropriate security considerations are included throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
Develop new techniques and plans within their area of expertise
Identifies trends and analyzes data, transforming the information into plans, deliverables, and recommendations
Planning integrations or upgrading existing or acquired technologies to ensure compliance with organizational standards
Identifying process gaps across the corporation that impact efficiency
Planning, researching, and developing security standards and work instructions
Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and work instructions, including those for security architecture, disaster recovery, and security technology
Partner with internal and external teams to ensure a continual focus on security standards
Work with managed service providers to drive efficiencies and ensure execution on the scope of services
Implement secure network solutions designed to defend against cyber-threats, persistent threats, e.g., deploy and maintain wireless networks, various operating systems, Active Directory, mobile device management, data loss tools
