Key Responsibilities:·
- Own and lead Fleet’s engagement with electric utilities, utility partners and regulators, and power solution providers to deliver at-scale energy supply solutions from inception through commercial operations.
- Manage the day-to-day interactions with multiple utilities to ensure energy requirements and infrastructure needed to support Fleet’s planned growth are met.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure sufficient and efficient energy capacity for current and future workloads.
- Drive path forward with in-house/external counsel, finance teams, and Fleet leadership on impactful utility-facing contracts
- Evaluate utilities capabilities to meet Fleet’s needs, especially related to scope/design, schedule, and budget for large capital projects.
- Track, manage, and report on active project progress and financials. Proactively identify and mitigate risks to cost and schedule. Provide portfolio-level analysis of project status for communication with senior leaders.
- Optimize power agreements to balance cost, reliability, and sustainability goals.
- Monitor energy markets, regulatory trends, and utility rate structures to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Required Experience Qualifications:
- 5 to 8 years of experience working with utilities to execute energy supply agreements, transmission-level or distribution-level interconnection agreements, procurement of new generation resources, contracting for wholesale and retail electricity, or conducting site selection due diligence. Demonstrated expertise collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on power infrastructure or capacity commitments.
- Ability to distill and explain generation and transmission engineering details and complex commercial arrangements to executives, potential investors, and/or Board members.
