Job Summary
Lead the Team That Keeps Manufacturing Moving
Dayton Parts is seeking an experienced Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our Harrisburg manufacturing facility. This position serves as both a hands-on technical leader and maintenance expert responsible for equipment reliability, troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across the operation.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with industrial automation, PLC troubleshooting, 480V electrical systems, motor controls, and manufacturing equipment maintenance.
Shift
3rd Shift: 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Compensation: Starting at $36.50/hour plus applicable shift differential
Primary Duties
Lead Maintenance Operations
- Provide daily leadership and technical guidance to maintenance technicians.
- Coordinate maintenance priorities with Production, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Support technician training, development, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Promote safe work practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Troubleshoot and Repair Manufacturing Equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, automation systems, and machine controls.
- Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor starters, sensors, relays, and control circuits.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair on 480V three-phase electrical systems.
- Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Support emergency breakdown response to minimize production downtime.
Improve Equipment Reliability
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment uptime, reliability, and efficiency.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, automation improvements, and capital projects.
- Partner with Engineering and Operations teams to improve manufacturing processes.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, electrical safety requirements, and company policies.
- Support spare parts inventory and maintenance planning activities.
Qualifications

- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience leading maintenance activities, technicians, or projects.
- Strong troubleshooting experience with PLCs, industrial controls, and automation systems.
- Experience working with 480V three-phase electrical systems.
- Experience troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Experience troubleshooting motors, starters, relays, sensors, and control circuits.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting servo systems and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
