Food Runner - (Brew Brothers, Horseshoe Black Hawk)

POSITION SUMMARY
Provide friendly and efficient dining service to restaurant patrons to ensure pleasurable dining experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve food in a timely manner.
• Ensure food orders are correct before serving to guests.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Present a neat and professional appearance.
• Consistently provided professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Display enthusiasm and knowledge about the restaurant’s menu and products.
• Routinely supported other areas of the restaurant including completing financial transactions.
• Other duties as assigned.

MISCELLANEOUS

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and understand simple instructions.
• Experience using and cleaning cocktail trays, bus carts, glass and silverware racks, coffee and iced tea makers, juice dispensers, soda dispensers, soda Bag-in-Box system, sharp knives, lemon slicer.
• Knowledge of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Some kitchen experience needed.
• On the job training.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Walking/Standing             85%
• Bending/Lifting  15% (Overhead, arms - length, up to 30 lbs.)
• Kitchen environment, restaurant and convention room.
• Casino and high rise hotel.
• Expose to bright lights, smoke, noise and varied temperatures.
• Steam and wet areas.
