Through this journey, we've developed a suite of internal solutions uniquely designed to meet the challenges of a digital-first, cloud-first business at scale. The Capital One Software team is exploring how these internal solutions across cloud, data, governance, and applications could serve the needs of other companies born or built in the cloud or migrating to the cloud..

The Capital One Software team is looking for a experienced and collaborative Software Engineers who are technically skilled and can work directly with the customers to engineer, deliver and successfully implement solutions and products within their data ecosystem. In this role, you will need to be technically capable and credible in your own right as well as effective in shaping the customer and solutions-focused skills of your team. We are looking for leaders who are passionate about learning and introducing new technology in order to help colleagues and customers embrace and adopt new technology. We need innovative leaders who can look beyond the technology and consider the value our technology creates for our customers, who can help customers embrace the offered technology and solutions, who are obsessed with customer success and can help change how our technology is viewed to enable outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a Senior Solutions Architect, Senior Technology Architect, Solutions Delivery Leader, or a similar role, experienced in managing a team of Solution Architects and a proven track record of hands-on solution implementation in the customer environment and managing and growing customer relationships. You will have an ability to grow your leadership skills as well as diving deep into various hands-on solutions while developing new skills, so you can make strong contributions in architecture transformation discussions.

You will:

• Prepare and deliver technical engagements with enterprise customers including envisioning business and technical solutions, delivering architectural design and rapid prototypes.

• Drive architecture/design reviews focused on business and technical requirements.

• Analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, operating system environment and enterprise system integrations.

• Plan, manage and deliver customer projects.

• Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product focused software engineers

• Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers on your team.

• Support architecture governance by providing subject matter expertise.

• Work with business and product partners, architects, and other groups to identify technical and functional needs of systems, and determine priority of needs.

• Travel to customer locations as needed to oversee the implementation of products and solutions, develop and nurture customer relationships, and manage key stakeholder communication.

• Enforce company policies in areas of development methodology, architecture, security, change and configuration management, compliance, and HR.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 7 years of experience with design, implementation, or consulting experience of distributed applications

• At least 5 years of experience managing technical, customer facing solution architects

• At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, networking and CI/CD Tooling.

• At least 5 years of experience in architecting and delivering solutions with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service

• At least 5 years experience in people management
