The Financial Planning & Analysis Lead will work as part of the IT Operations team within IT Finance under the Corporate Finance Organization. The IT Operations team is focused on supporting and providing financial transparency to IT leaders within the segment facing IT teams, other segment Business Leaders, Finance leaders and other key stakeholders. This role will need to understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. This role will analyze the financial implications of proposed investments or other transactions so that senior executives can evaluate alternatives against the organization's business objectives.The Financial Planning & Analysis Lead collaborates with various associates in IT and at various leadership levels to increase projecting and budgeting accuracy. The Financial Planning & Analysis Lead describes and utilizes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable information.
This role can influence department’s strategy and help with IT leaders decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and economic indicators for making strategic and operational decisions on, for example, acquisitions, investments, capital expenditure, divestitures, mergers, or the sale of assets.
- Presenting results to senior management ie weekly, monthly, quarterly
- Analyzes the financial implications of proposed investments or other transactions
- Evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive position.
- Develop analysis on, expenses, costs, investments, cash flow, profits, labor market trends, inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates. May involve financial modeling, reporting and budgeting as well. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
- Work with IT leadership on business case analysis and return on investments

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5 or more years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
- Experience leading groups and/or initiatives
- Experience advising senior leadership on financial strategies
- Knowledge of complex accounting and financial transactions for internal and external reporting
- Develop methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing data for complex analyses
- Ability to lead and manage special projects that may necessitate cross-functional partnerships
- Executive-level communication skills
- Can work remote from anywhere, but must be able to work within the EST/CST time zones
- Must be willing to travel as business needs dictate
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in Finance/Accounting function within an IT organization or supporting IT spend
- Managing Capitalized technology labor costs and ledger/balance sheet treatment of the costs
- Apptio or application TCO experience
- Transformation management experience related to project financials
- Oracle and/or Oracle Projects experience
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or a CPA strongly preferred
- Prior health insurance industry experience working in Finance/Accounting
Additional Information
The workstyle for this role, if one lives within a commutable distance, (within 50 miles) to the downtown Louisville, KY office, will be hybrid home/office – 2-3 days in office. If ones does not live within a commutable distance to the Louisville office, the workstyle will be fully remote, but must be able to work within the EST or CST time zone.
