We are looking for Principal Cybersecurity Architect to lead our GenAI security strategy, embedding Secure SDLC practices and mitigating risks in line with OWASP Top 10. The role demands a visionary with a strong cybersecurity background and a track record in architecting secure AI-driven software systems.
Position Overview:
The Principal Architect in GenAI Security will lead the Advanced Technology cybersecurity architecture efforts with a focus on Generative AI (GenAI) systems and the integration of Secure Software Development Life Cycle (Secure SDLC) practices. This senior role requires a strategic visionary with a wealth of experience in designing robust security frameworks and implementing security best practices across complex AI-driven environments. The architect will ensure that all phases of software development are infused with security measures that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and evolve the organization's security architecture strategy, with a focus on incorporating Secure SDLC methodologies into Generative AI and machine learning projects.
- Lead the development of security architectures that address the unique challenges of AI systems while aligning with the OWASP Top 10 for Large Language Model Applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, AI research, and operations, to embed security into all stages of the SDLC, from initial design to deployment and maintenance.
- Champion a culture of security by design, ensuring that security is an integral part of the software engineering process, including the adoption of security automation and orchestration tools.
- Drive the adoption of security best practices and patterns for AI development, such as threat modeling, code reviews, static and dynamic analysis, and penetration testing within the SDLC.
- Provide mentorship and leadership in the development of security standards, guidelines, and procedures that support Secure SDLC practices.
- Keep abreast of emerging security threats, especially those targeting AI technologies, and adjust the security architecture to mitigate these risks proactively.
- Oversee the integration of advanced security tools and techniques, such as AI-specific static analysis tools, to prevent vulnerabilities in machine learning code and configurations.
- Lead security reviews and architecture assessments for new and existing AI projects, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Develop comprehensive metrics and reporting frameworks to measure the effectiveness of Secure SDLC practices and the overall security posture of AI initiatives.
- Represent the organization in external forums, working groups, and conferences to share knowledge and stay informed about the latest trends in AI security and Secure SDLC.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, AI, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience with a focus on AI and cybersecurity architecture.
- Professional security certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, CSSLP, or other relevant credentials focused on security architecture and secure software development.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a security architecture role, including extensive experience with Secure SDLC practices.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing security architectures for complex, AI-driven environments.
- Deep understanding of the OWASP Top 10, particularly as it applies to AI and web applications, with a demonstrated ability to mitigate these risks through architectural design.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive security initiatives across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to a variety of stakeholders, including technical teams, executive management, and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience with modern software development practices, DevSecOps tools and methodologies, and automated security testing in a CI/CD pipeline.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of AI technologies and the security landscape surrounding machine learning and generative models.
- Experience with cloud security architectures, particularly in environments that leverage AI services from major cloud providers.
- Familiarity with regulations and standards that impact AI security, such as GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and industry-specific guidelines.
- Involvement in the security community, with contributions to security standards development, public speaking
