A Leadership Role That Keeps You in Clinical Practice As Director of Specialty Medicine, you’ll take on a 50/50 split between leadership and clinical work—giving you the opportunity to continue practicing the specialty you love while also leading, mentoring, and shaping the future of our specialty services.You’ll be a key part of our hospital’s leadership team, ensuring high-quality, consistent care across all specialties while building and empowering a positive, collaborative culture. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to grow into leadership or for an experienced specialist ready to take on a vibrant and rewarding new challenge. What You’ll Do
- Lead and support our growing team of board-certified specialists
- Maintain clinical caseload (50%) in your own specialty—Internal Medicine, Radiology, Cardiology, or another board-certified discipline
- Assist in recruiting and mentoring new specialists, helping build the future of CCVS
- Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless patient care
- Help shape hospital strategy, supporting innovation, patient care, and team development
- Innovative & Collaborative Team: Work alongside specialists in Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Exotics, and more.
- Work-Life Balance: A flexible, balanced schedule with two clinical days and two administrative days per week.
- Education & Mentorship Focus: We encourage a strong culture of learning, from in-house technician training to rotating and specialty internships and residencies.

- Board-certified specialist (DACVIM, DACVR, DACVIM-Cardiology, or equivalent)
- At least three years post-residency experience in small animal specialty practice
- Leadership experience is a plus though we are willing to support the right person to learn and grow in this role!
