Senior Manager Transfer Pricing (Controversy and Risk Management) (f/m/d)

<p>Empowering people, creating technology.</p><p></p><p></p><h1>Responsibilities:</h1><p></p><p></p><ul><li>Manage transfer pricing tax audit defense in German domestic and international tax audits as well as support of international dispute resolution proceedings</li><li>Establishment and further development of a risk and compliance management system for transfer pricing within the Freudenberg Group</li><li>Prepare, review and provide complete, accurate responses to tax authorities by actively collaborating with internal tax, finance, accounting and business leaders as well as external advisors to ensure complete and timely flow of information to tax authorities and effective resolution of tax audits</li><li>Lead research and prepare expert opinions on a broad range of transfer pricing and international tax matters </li><li>Support in questions relating to business valuations using recognized valuation methods like Discounted Cash Flow method ​</li></ul><p></p><p></p><h1>Qualifications:</h1><p></p><p></p><ul><li>University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law or Tax Law </li><li>Strong academic background; outstanding research, drafting and analytical skills; excellent writing capability </li><li> At least five to seven years relevant work experience in a transfer pricing role either with a large multinational group, an established tax consultancy firm, preferably “Big 4”, or as former tax auditor. Prior in-house or tax audit experience strongly preferred </li><li>Certified Tax Advisor exam or comparable education as a tax auditor would be beneficial</li><li>Demonstrated experience in a variety of aspects of tax controversy practice, including experience with German federal and state tax audits. Experience with international dispute resolution procedures (mutual agreement and arbitration procedures)  would be beneficial</li><li>High affinity for IT systems – like ERP systems, consolidation systems or Operational Transfer Pricing solutions and Business Process Mapping Software like Signavio</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint and project management applications</li><li>Independent, structured and self-motivated approach to work, ability to deal with competing priorities and deadlines</li><li>Able to deal with conflict, understands different views and interests, names them and contributes to finding solutions</li><li>Confident and convincing appearance associated with strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics clearly and simply</li><li>Fluent in German (native language level) and English (written and oral)</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>The Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
