Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), KIND’s Senior Director, Cloud Solutions will play a leadership role by overseeing and contributing to the development and operations of KIND's expanding cloud and application solutions in support to both internal and external stakeholders. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that KIND’s cloud security, application operations, artificial intelligence infrastructure, are optimally aligned with its mission and operational needs. Supporting the Chief Technology Officer’s vision, the Senior Director will actively champion the mission of KIND and foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders throughout the organization working closely on both operational and programmatic fronts.
This is a remote position based from any location in the U.S., where KIND is register.

Essential Functions

• Cloud Solutions and Operations
• Oversees the daily management of existing enterprise and cloud applications including Case Management, Azure, and MS365
• Acts as the most senior technical cloud resource to help establish KIND as a leader in cloud-native and Gen AI led solution serving staff, unaccompanied children, and partners by staying at the forefront of industry innovations and best practices.
• Provides execution support and thought leadership for current and potential cloud solutions with the intention to establish success, best practices, and the adoption of cloud and alternative technologies at KIND.
• Collaborates with partners to co-create solutions, enhance service offerings, and support CTO in exploring joint go-to-market opportunities.
• Leads and collaborates with solution architects to design and implement transformative, scalable, and secure cloud-native solutions.
• Analyzes complex systems, identifies security vulnerabilities, and develops strategies to protect sensitive information and mitigate risks.
• Continually seeks out opportunities to enhance the efficiency of KIND’s cloud IT operations.


• Budget Elaboration and Financial Management
• Develop and manage Cloud Solution’s annual budget, aligning expenditures with strategic priorities and financial targets.
• Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure fiscal responsibility and resource optimization.


• Vendor and Contract Management
• Cultivate and manages relationships with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring alignment with business objectives and performance expectations.
• Collaborates in the negotiation of vendor contracts, and administer SLAs, service agreements, while recommending terms and conditions optimization to mitigate risk and drive value.


• Team Management
• Leads, coaches, and mentors IT Cloud Solutions staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement to achieve high performance.
• Facilitates professional development opportunities and skills enhancement initiatives to empower team members and foster career growth.
• Promotes a positive, supportive, and inclusive team environment aligned with KIND’s diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Advanced degree in computer engineering or related field
• Certifications in security and cloud solutions desired.
• Must be fluent in English. Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience demonstrating a track record of delivering successful IT design, development, and implementation
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising teams with demonstrated skills in fostering team trust, commitment, conflict resolution, employee wellness, and motivation to accomplish team goals.
