As a Security Receptionist, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more. The Security Receptionist plays a critical role in the overall security program and in the success of day-to-day operations. As first line of defense, they are tasked with making the first impression with guests, customers, and clients. As an extension of the company, the receptionist reflects a professional demeanor and appearance to optimally highlight our customer’s brand. The Security Receptionist will provide model customer service as well as favorably resolve conflict through solid communication skills. The Security Receptionist may have to deal with stressful situations requiring critical thinking abilities to de-escalate unprecedented encounters, understand social cues, and call for assistance when appropriate. Functionally, the Security Receptionist must be technically competent, computer literate, able to answer inbound/outbound calls, recognize signs of intrusion, have strong observation skills, and remain calm under pressure. The Security Receptionist has the responsibility to maintain proprietary information in confidence and politely, with maximum consideration, enforce security and safety regulations. The position requires administrative support of special events, facility operations, and security functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Front of house, meeting & greeting visitors to include visitor processing at your local sites(s)
  • Support assistance for your location’s or Region’s events; as necessary
  • Liaison with Global Security Teams to manage visitors/contractors on site and emergency response
  • Assist in developing Global, Regional and site level security related procedures for reception
  • Supporting the management of Global Visitor Management System
  • Coordination duties as per the fire and emergency procedures
  • Incoming & outgoing mail management
  • Site point of contact for goods in receipts procedures for all deliveries to the site
  • Courier & special delivery bookings for your local site
  • Taxi bookings for your local site
  • Actively engage with building users and team members as require
  • Ensure adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements and to departmental policies, practices and procedures (SOPs, safety and security procedures)
  • Be involved in and support integration of security considerations and physical security system
  • Support day to day regional physical security systems and operations
  • Consult with operating personnel and security specialist to support the security systems and processes
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned
  • Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs.
  • Perform employee, contractor & vendor badging and access control system administration
  • Maintain access to CCTV systems for campus situational awareness, occasional review of recorded video and conduct surveillance system investigations.
  • Occasionally help prepare executive summaries of security assessments completed, event & travel security as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have an active California guard card
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • 1-year prior experience as a receptionist or administrator or comparable services
