Jefferson Healthcare is looking for a per diem Laboratory Assistant - Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory Services team. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will perform many pre-and post-analytical duties in assisting the Medical Technologist with phlebotomies, order entry, specimen collection, and sample processing. The Laboratory Assistant also performs clerical functions, including giving results to providers, distribution of reports, charges, credits, and supply ordering within the laboratory.

What you'll need:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy certification required; as a condition of employment, application for MA-Phlebotomist Certification must be submitted to DOH within 90 days of hire
- BLS Certification required
- Washington State AIDS Education curriculum required
- Must stay current in knowledge base, certifications and licenses indicated above, and meet Hospital-mandated education requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in phlebotomy preferred
Schedule: Per Diem; 0-16 hr/week; Day Shift
