The Job

As a Senior Director of Distribution North America, you’ll be part of our Global Supply Chain team located remotely. 

This position reports to the Vice President of Supply Chain - Americas and provides leadership support to twenty (20) Distribution Centers across North America. 

Responsible for the strategic direction of warehousing, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and continuous improvement. Evaluates, plans, and directs the cost-effective distribution of materials and finished goods inventories.  Supervises site managers and other professional distribution staff at multiple locations while partnering with other cross functional supply chain and commercial functions. The position will operate in a fast paced, demand driven, results oriented environment.   You’ll get to:  

  • Will  lead and motivate a team, analyze data to make decisions, focus on exceeding customer expectations, meeting revenue targets, increasing company profitability and reducing operational costs while driving change to improve logistics processes and optimize service
  • Make a critical impact on the business, by developing and overseeing SBD North American Distribution Operation.
  • Oversee  dull-order cycle (Receiving, Stocking, Picking, Packing), inventory accuracy, fulfillment expense management and logistics operations that deliver on our customer promise
  • Identify best practices and trends in the marketplace to lead the implementation of innovative ideas that drive progress and continuous improvement.
  • Continually improve customer service levels while looking for ways to reduce costs through process improvement, network optimization, and standardization across the company’s operations.
  • Develop a data driven decision making environment. Understand and analyze the financial impact of proposed distribution changes, capacity, automation, layout, etc.
  • Facilitate the improvement and alignment of distribution practices across locations.
  • Develop short and long-term strategy for improving key performance metrics and financial plans/budget.
  • Frequent travel within the U.S. is required.
  • Promotes a positive culture of open communication, teamwork, accountability, and trust within the team and across the organization.

The Person

  • Bachelor's Degree Required in Supply Chain, Business Management, Business Administration, or related field, MBA preferred
  • 7+  years of related experience with a world class global operations organization.
  • Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader, who has a track record of driving process improvement and overall operating results.
  • Exceptional project management skills with ability to implement across cross-functional peer group. Strong analytical and financial skills.
  • Business acumen with ability to analyze data, report findings to leadership, and develop strategies for execution.
