Job Description

What you get to do in this role:

  • Use your experience in software development, systems engineering, networking and solution design to proactively prevent repeatable issues.
  • Drive initiatives with partner teams to improve the reliability and performance of the infrastructure through improved system design.
  • Drive a culture of intolerance to manual activity which results in a highly automated environment delivering scalable solutions.
  • Provide relief and sustainable resolution to issues within our infrastructure application stack.

Drive monitoring and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Deep knowledge of Linux internals including troubleshooting, performance tuning and monitoring.
  • 6+ years’ experience with large-scale application design, development, integration, and operations. Have deep knowledge of Apache Tomcat, Kafka, Django, RabbitMQ, ELK, Nginx, F5, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, and AppDynamics.
  • Experience in cybersecurity including break management, audits, access management, security scanning.
  • Experience in Event Management tools/platforms such as Netcool/OMNIbus, IBM/Tivoli, HP OVO, BMC BEM/TruSight, Moogsoft, BigPanda, Instana, ServiceNow ITOM, and ThousandEyes.
  • Experience in managing Enterprise Systems Management applications backend and infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of AI/ML, MLOps, MDLC, AIOps, DataOps, Data Processing Pipelines.
  • 6+ years’ experience with DevOps automation and agile methodologies. Have knowledge of DevOps tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, and Spinnaker.
  • 6+ Years’ experience with Private Cloud, Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, OCI, Azure), preferably Azure, Hybrid Cloud and On-Premises Data Centers.
  • Expertise in Observability and Monitoring of applications, services, and networks at scale.
  • 6+ years of Coding in various languages; we normally prefer JavaScript, Java, Python, Ruby, Go and Bash.
  • PostgreSQL, MySQL database administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Strong network troubleshooting knowledge. Have deep knowledge of DNS, SNMP, HTTPS, TCP/IP and BGP.
  • Experience working with Container and Container Orchestration Platforms (Docker Swarm, Apache Mesos, Kubernetes).
  • Have strong knowledge and hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools, such as ServiceNow Workflow, HP OO, Rundeck, Apache Airflow, Tidal and BMC Atrium Orchestrator.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills (network, systems, database, and application).
  • Team-first attitude and uncompromising attention to detail.
  • Good collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in shifts (that cover one weekend day) and overlapping hours with other regions.
  • Good to have solution architect experience.
  • Good to have experience developing on the ServiceNow Platform with the following;  CMDB, module development, discovery, flow designer, service portal.
  • Good to have any industry certification, such as:  ITIL, CCSP, CISSP, TOGAF, COBIT, IT4IT, AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI certification, Certified PostgreSQL DBA(CPSDBA), ServiceN
