Occupational Therapist

Salary Range: $32,500.00 - $37,500.00/year + sign-on bonus (half paid after 6 months of employment and half paid after 1 year of employment/pro-rated for part-time).
This is a part-time position, 20 hours/week.
Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is hiring for a creative and supportive individual to work in our Wayside Academy! We provide a supportive culture that is team-focused and places value on healthy work dynamics.
What You Will Do:
• Provide a range of clinical occupational therapy services for youth and their families as part of a robust multi-disciplinary team at Wayside Youth & Family Support Network.
• Provide assessment and clinical treatment recommendations to our Continuum programs serving DCF and DMH youth (ages 6-18).
• Consult with clinical teams as well as provide individual and group therapy as required.
• In home consultation to caregivers required as part of family work.

• Position calls for strong clinical, observational, analytical, verbal and writing skills.
• Experience with program development preferred
• Experience in using clinical observations in assessment
• Flexibility and willingness to be a part of a team
• Ability to explain sensory integration (SI) and OT in understandable terms
• Ability to empower staff with various training levels to utilize occupational therapy strategies.
Minimum Requirements:
• Four or more years of experience in pediatrics and/or mental health settings, preferably providing treatment for individuals with social-emotional and/or behavioral difficulties
• Three or more months of experience in a sensory integration setting with suspended equipment
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy preferred
